We have now owned our small piece of Turkey for 12 months.

We chose our apartment from a long list and opted for Pearl Bay for its views and sunsets, high standard of materials used, workmanship and the reassurance of someone in Scotland as well as Turkey to deal with. As well as a great location to have a holiday we feel this is also a good investment opportunity.

Now that we have moved into our holiday home, we thought the time was right to tell other prospective buyers about our experiences with Highland Homes Abroad.

We had been thinking about buying a property abroad for some time and had been to several property exhibitions in the area. We saw an advert in the Evening Express by a locally based property company holding an exhibition in Aberdeen at the Patio Hotel (now the Doubletree Aberdeen Hotel).

Our initial impression was how friendly, relaxed and professional Gary and Graham was. They were able to provide us with all the information we needed to purchase a property in Turkey. They insisted that we visit the area and their development first, before we made any real commitment, as neither of us had been to Turkey before. Visiting the area certainly helped us make up our minds and on our return we purchased our apartment. As with any new build there were some teething problems but Gary, Graham and their Turkish team, dealt with these.

We are looking forward to enjoying our apartment for many years to come.

We visited Highland Homes Abroad at their Aberdeen property show, as we were looking to purchase in Turkey. The atmosphere was very relaxed and there was no pressure put on us at any time. We liked what we saw and decided to book a trip and visit the site. On visiting the site we made our decision to purchase 2 apartments. We were well looked after while we were there and everything was done professionally and made as stress free as possible. We were kept updated all through the build process with pictures and emails and our property was completed ahead of schedule. We are very pleased with our purchase and the apartments are finished to a very high standard. We had a minor snagging list, which was dealt with quickly and efficiently, and Ali has organised the fitting of any extras required without a problem.

We have enjoyed several trips to the complex and would have no hesitation in recommending Highland Homes Abroad for purchasing in Turkey.

My wife and I went to the Highland Homes Abroad seminar at Kintore Arms Hotel, Inverurie and spoke to Gary and Graham with a view to purchase property in Turkey. Being interested in information given on the day, we arranged to holiday in Altinkum area to check out property. Having viewed a number of properties in the area Highland Homes proved to be all that was described in the information given on the day. Buying was effortless with the help of Ali and Michelle who also helped us buy furniture and furnish our apartment. All was completed within a day. We are delighted with our purchase and looking forward to spending a lot of time in our new retirement home.

Initial meeting with Graham was very relaxed and no pressure whatsoever was applied in fact he insisted that we go and visit the complex first before making any decision.

Ali and Michelle picked us up at the airport and couldn't have been more helpful, once we had made the decision to buy (about 5 mins after arriving at the complex) they insisted we still had a look at other properties in the area so as to get a comparison, after this they took us around local furniture shops etc to buy and also took us to the bank, the tax office and anywhere else we had to go, then in the evening took us to a few local restaurants and done an excellent job of looking after us, a lovely genuine couple.

Build quality of the apartments was very surprising as we were not expecting such a high standard, the whole place just oozes top quality, went to a few other places for sale in the area and nothing comes even close to the standard of workmanship provided by Highland Homes

All in all we would thoroughly recommend Highland Homes for their professionalism, helpfulness, hospitality and superior build quality.

It has been a pleasure dealing with you all through the purchasing process of our property in Turkey and I feel it only fair to say that after visually inspecting other properties in Altinkum during my first visit in March it is clear to see that your complex is far superior to anything else I personally have seen.

Apartments Turkey

A few years ago my boyfriend suggested we go to Turkey for a holiday. I had never been there before and was slightly apprehensive after some friends had given bad reports. However, I duly researched the country and came to the conclusion that there were some beautiful apartments in Turkey that were quite reasonably priced thus making it an affordable holiday at a time when we did not have that much money to spare. I researched several different areas of Turkey and the one that appealed to me most was the Datca peninsula. This place looked idyllic and I set out trying to find accommodation that would match the beauty of the place. Apartments in Turkey can be quite basic and people may be disappointed if they are expecting the height of luxury. However, even though they are often basic, I found that apartments in Turkey generally gave holidaymakers all the facilities they needed for a very pleasant stay indeed. I finally booked a suitable apartment. My boyfriend and I went on holiday and we had the most wonderful time imaginable. I would definitely return again.

The food in Turkey is cheap and delicious and so buying a home in Turkey is unsurprisingly an option that is appealing to many people in today`s climate.
