Why Buy in Turkey?

Turkish coastBuying a home abroad can be a very daunting prospect; choosing the right country, area and company to purchase your property from is essential.

Why Turkey?
The property prices in Turkey started to experience a steady rise since the law relating to foreign ownership changed in early 2003. Since then there has been a significant rise in property values and it is now experiencing 30 to 40 percent increases in some areas.

Other Mediterranean countries are now becoming very expensive and more and more people are looking at Turkey with great interest. Property developers are also purchasing as much land as possible, trying to get a head start on their competitors.

The Turkish economy is experiencing large foreign investment from overseas. The government is working hard to update their laws and policies in anticipation of membership into the EU in the near future.

There is great evidence of this investment with foreign companies and banks buying over their Turkish counterparts, and industries such as car manufacturers are opening plants here. These have all contributed to the property boom.

Foreign property ownership has risen from just under 3,000 in 2003 to roughly 15,000 currently. This figure is steadily rising and can only be encouraging news for future investors.

The buying process in Turkey is very easy, straightforward and secure.
